Alien

This picture was taken on a rainy day with not much opportunity to take pictures. My friend and I were stuck inside and decided to use this temporary hair chalk to color our hair wild colors. I put two buns in Maddie's hair and decided she needed to be infant of the camera. We used the brightest room in the house to capture her two buns, which unfortunately happened to be the bathroom. This picture was taken with a 4.0 aperture, a 1/160 shutter and a 1600 ISO. The lack of light caused me to have a high ISO. A high ISO partnered with a small aperture caused my shutter to be quite fast. In photoshop I brightened the picture using the brightness adjustment, and pushed the contrast. I added an artistic look to this photograph to set it aside from the rest of my photos and to push my knowledge of photoshop. I was able to do this by selecting filter gallery under the filter tab. In filter gallery I layered different techniques and styles to create what I felt complimented the picture. The background of this photograph is a different style from the filter gallery than what is seen over the model. I made multiple layers of filters and revealed different sections of them using a layer mask.
